ST. MACNISSI’S P.S. OPEN DAY will be held on Friday 8th January from 9.45am – 10.45am. Parents are most welcome to visit the school. Enrolment forms available from the Secretary on 90342166.

ST. ENDA’S HURLERS – now recruiting new U6 (P1&2) hurlers, helmets and sticks provided. Training on Sunday in St. Malachy’s College Sports Complex. For info contact Eugene on 07810555945. ST. ST. BERNARD’S ALTAR SERVERS: Training continues each Thursday from 4pm-5pm for all servers P5 or above very welcome.

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED: Home-Start North Belfast are seeking new volunteers for their work of supporting families. If you are a parent/grandparent, have about 3 hours per week to spare, and would like to know more about us, please contact us at 533, Antrim Road, Belfast 90778999. We are looking for your skills and expertise as parents, to support families experiencing added pressure in their lives.

If you feel you could help, please contact us now. Training will be given, expenses paid, and you will really enjoy being able to help someone.

BEREAVEMENT COUNSELLING: Grief and mourning are natural responses to loss. Each person grieves in his/her own way, and at times difficulties may arise in the grieving process, leaving the bereaved feeling overwhelmed and unable to make sense of their thoughts and emotions. It takes time to say goodbye. If you are finding difficulty of any kind in working through your grief then one to one grief work can provide the time and space needed for the journey into acceptance and healing. ACCORD MARRIAGE PREPARATION: Courses to be held in St. James Parish Centre, Whiteabbey from January.

Thursday 7th Jan  6.30pm – 9.30pm & Sat 9th from 9.00am-3.00pm; also Thursday 21st Jan. & Sat. 23rd. Please note you must complete both Thursday & Saturday. To book call 90339944 at least six months before your wedding date.

MOTHERS AND TODDLERS takes place each Tuesday in St. Bernard’s Hall. Volunteers required to help with the club, see any of the Leaders on Tuesday morning.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: If you are interested in forming a parish team to fundraise, travel and help build houses for 2-3weeks next year please contact Danny on 90833142 asap. No experience necessary only enthusiasm!

ST. BERNARD’S FOLK GROUP: Interested in joining us? We would welcome musicians and singers to join us to sing and play at 11am Mass in St. Bernard’s church. Practice each Monday at 8pm in the church

THE CHILDREN’S LITURGY will recommence in September  and we would remind parents that all children must be registered before attending. Parents are asked to tick the attendance sheet in the porch each Sunday. We are required to do this in order to comply with Child Protection Regulations and request your full cooperation. If your child’s name is not on the attendance sheet please speak to one of the leaders after Mass. Registration forms are available from the leaders. or Download form here.

REVERENCE IN CHURCH:  Please remember to show respect at all times to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.  Christ is present before and after Mass, and at all times in the Tabernacle.  Please refrain from chatting and switch off your mobile!

PARISH BUILDING CLUB DRAW:If you wish to join the Parish Draw please ring the office on 90832979 between 10.30am – 2.30pm or give your name and address to one of the church collectors.

ST BERNARD’S REPOSITORY:  Now open in the front entrance of the church.  Religious goods, books etc may also be ordered.

CAR PARKING:  The disabled car spaces should be used only by cars displaying an official ‘disabled’ sign, especially on Sundays when a number of disabled people are attending Mass.
